Heavy Rain (PS3) - Just bought it last night. This game is depressing as hell so far. Really cool though.

Super Street Fighter IV (360) - Bought this and a SSFVI fighter pad a couple hours ago. (the controller, not the huge pad) The dpad on this controller is going to be amazing to use on xbla games and emulators on my pc.

Earthbound (SNES) - Been playing this off and on on my Droid.

Pixel Junk Eden.

I know it's nothing alike, and hopefully Child of Eden will be even better, but so far it's just about the Rez of this gen, at least in terms of hypnotism... lovely, lovely game.

IP sucked. So did Omrikon. So I gave up on QD/David cage games.
Plus his 'games' are more like interactive mediocre films.
People say how amazing they are but the guy leaves so many plot holes and he so narcissistic I can't stand anything he does nor take him serious.

I've been finally playing Boku no Natsuyasumi 3. All my best expectations were confirmed and then some.

Not only does it grant beautiful landscapes, done by Kusanagi (who also does backgrounds for Final Fantasy, Full Metal Alchemist and a myriad of other games and animes) in a way that it almost feels like I'm "playing" an animated movie, but it's simple and entertaining explorative gameplay are perhaps the perfect hybrid between Shenmue's rambling and Roommania #203's interaction and event-based gameplay, coupling both of those games' strong japanese sense, while dislocating them from japanese metropolis to countryside.

I'm rereading all my Kenshin manga, and the creator always takes time throughout the volumes to talk about games he's playing, action figures he's collecting, thoughts he's having at the moment, etc. It was from the late 1990's, and this game was one of the games he liked, and was playing quite a bit.

It's really cool to go back and read that stuff, from back then. In one of the latest volumes, he mentioned getting a Sega Dreamcast. i had hoped he would mention picking up Shenmue, but I think it was done before it came out.

Hehe, the only Kenshin book I have he says he's hooked on Samurai Showdown (Samurai Spirits in Japan), although he apparently sucked at it, but was eager for the sequel which was coming out soon apparently.

I wish more mangaka took the time to let us in on that.
