Just got Valkyria Chronicles for half off (only 30 bucks). Heard good things, so I figure it was probably a sweet deal. Haven't played it yet.

Well, I've just played through the first three or four missions, and I have good news:
Sega doesn't suck anymore. This game is fantastic.
They may make a lot of commercial stinkers now (anything Sonic, and anything from their US branch), but Valkyria paired with Yakuza makes them fucking awesome in my book. I realize VC hasn't sold all that well in the US (not sure about Japan), but if Sega keeps making the occasional game like this, they're fine with me.

Also, I thought this was kind of cool: you can recruit Vyse and Aika from Skies of Arcadia into your squad.
:D
Nice bit of fanservice for such a generally little-known game as SoA.

Mirror's Edge,
Finally got bumped down to 30 bucks, so I figured it was time to get it. Fucking excellent game, but definitely wouldn't have been worth 60 bucks. Way, way, way to short. I know it's pretty replayable (hell, I played the demo about a million times before getting the actual game), but it's only about as long as I would imagine downloadable content should be. It's been a long time since I beat a game the first day I got it. It was only, maybe, five or six hours.
I really want a sequel now, but they'd really have to pack in a much lengthier story mode to make it work.

Yet to play either for any extended period of time. I bought them around the same time just because of the hype around them, I hope I haven't been mislead :|
