Rather dismayed with the flooding and destruction in western North Carolina. I’m in the Upstate region of South Carolina, which is nearby. We didn’t get it as bad. My neighborhood still has power, water, and internet. But a lot of the area is without power.

Pretty distraught right now. The US is toast.

Same. Bad bad bad. Shaking, crying, grieving.

We had an election here in the summer ourselves and personally I was not too thrilled with the results (although the outcome had been baked in for a while tbh). So I know it can be frustrating when things don't go your way. But I don't like or believe the apocalyptic catastrophizing done by media. The way to think about it is, if the new administration is successful, it's good for America (and the world). If they're not, change is only four years away, and it's much easier in your system (if the deposed party actually learns the right lessons) than in ours. It'll be over before you know it and everything will be ok.

^ Thanks Juan, we really do appreciate the kinds words. I know from the outside, it probably looks like we are over reacting allot. I won't go on about the terrible policies that will make our lives more difficult. But when you have a individual that already tried to overthrow the government and is looking to become authoritarian this time around you can't help but to feel like our democracy might be in danger. If we're lucky, this administration may be too incompetent to achieve their goals, but I digress.

Anyway, not really looking forward to work tomorrow. Got too use to being off.

Politics can be so frustrating! Of all of Scandinavia, our politicians sucks the most, and therefore, we as a country sucks the most as well. Thinking about it made me frustrated so now I'm feeling frustrated.
