Made me cry and think of my dad which didn't help.

I loved the movie but don't think i can ever watch it again,just hits to close to home.

Actor but the film pretty much hit in so many of the same things about where one life goes and why they feel they can only live in one place...on the stage/in the ring ..difference is how each ended,one in the film bittersweet the other just bitter.

The Wrestler is a great great movie. Should have been nominated over The Reader at the Academy Awards. But I am going to watch Solaris. I hear good things, mostly anyway. So I'm looking forward to this.

Yeah, I'm sure I wasn't alone in being dissapointed that Mickey Rourke didn't win the Oscar for best actor, Sean Penn's a good actor and all but that Milk movie looked like an oscar plea to me.

^ Oh totally. I think Penn was great in Milk. And having to make out with all those great actors he made out with... God, that had to be hard to be convincing. But he already has won the award, I thought Rourke was better in Wrestler, and it didn't win anything getting snubbed. Plus you never know when Rourke will ever get the opportunity to win it again. I thought it was bull shit. And that one award kept me from winning a pool at my work for a fifty dollar gift card. I got 19 right, and my friend picked Penn instead and got 20.
