My last midterm is tomorrow and I already feel like

I just want to get on with new projects instead of tinkering around endlessly with my failures...
But I can't show up with crappy work-- NO!
At least, half-finished but not crappy...

You know what's great? Being super busy with school and having your Xbox RROD a second time but having Microsoft not cover it.

Also not having any sort of stable internet.
But I'm not too bad. School's going well at the moment. (Animation is a pain by the way.)

^Well I suppose that's good for keeping off distractions

What sort of animation are you working with? Hand drawn? 3D? Do you do storyboarding too?
Ironically I think my half-finished midterm critique ended up raising the standard for everyone in the class. Hooray for raised expectations.
Meanwhile, I don't think I can stand the sight of another California roll for the rest of my life! I am so ashamed that I went to an all you can eat sushi place with two other people and we failed to even finish our monstrous order of sushi. A lot of the rolls were just California rolls with different types of fish and sauce put on top. Our curiosity got the better of us and we allowed one more order of a Mexican roll. Turns out it's just spicy tuna....in a California roll.

We surrendered and ended up having to sneak off some leftover pieces wrapped in napkins in our jackets (because none of us had any purses/vases/potted plants, etc.) and threw em out in the bathroom because we didn't want to get charged for leftovers
So next time you're in an all you can eat place...be sure to order lots of napkins, just in case.
The sushi was quite good, though. However, any more rice on it and it'd be Vegas-sized sushi.

This class is "Digital Animation" which of course means our first two projects aren't digital at all. The first was a Cel Animation or Cut paper animation and he only gave us a week to do it, so of course it was a cut paper animation. You'd have to be insane to try to tackle drawing 900+ separate frames in a week. Cut paper was annoying enough in such a time span.
The second project is a stop motion / claymation project. I'm still figuring out what I want to do. But surprise, he only gave us a week to do it too. It's not like we don't have a bunch of other classes and projects and oh yeah it's midterms week.
However, the third project will finally be digital. I'm guessing it's pretty open to different things like flash or 3d rendering. There are separate classes for 3d rendering and 3d animation. (Which I may look into next term.)
Whew.
(Also, I could totally go for some sushi.)

In addition, I just uploaded the animations I've done here:
http://pages.uoregon.edu/chrisf/2010/10 ... tion-time/
Also I forgot to say we haven't done actual storyboarding in class, no. He hasn't even mentioned it yet.

Maybe he'll go in depth on it before the final project (which we actually get more than a week to do.)

Cool thanks for uploading your stuff

I'm just so damn lazy to document stuff and actually make myself a website. The thought of it seems so daunting I'd really rather leave it off to some other time to deal with...eventually.
I am glad the weekend is here and I can finally stay home and do nothing.

Thanks guys.
Yeah it IS pretty daunting. But if you plan to be an artist you have to have something presentable to show people. And definitely something to make yourself stand out.
Yay my weekend is pretty free. I'm doing pretty good right now despite my Japanese midterm in 2 hours that I haven't studied for yet. I'm such a slacker.
