What thoughts are going through your head right now?

^Indeed, sometimes I feel like we are our own worst enemies. It's crazy to think that nearly everyone you meet probably has some amount of a mental illness, whether it be depression, anxiety, or other things. I wonder if it has always been this way, or if something in the way we live our lives in the modern age has caused it. More contemplation, I guess.

^I think to some degree its always been this way. But some problems may be exacerbated by this modern fast-paced detached existence. This certainly isn't the same environment we evolved in.

I'm not sure if things are better for me now or not. I've been on anti-anxiety meds for about a month but I don't really feel any different in that regard. Maybe I'm less depressed. Honestly, it's hard to tell sometimes.

So yeah, I'm looking forward to this year being over. (In more ways than one.)

This time last year I working part time and going to school full time. Right before the finales, I had a really bad anxiety attack. Work ate into my study time and I was taking one of the hardest computer science classes at my school, it was just so much. I remember I was going to call out of work, but I still went the next day so I could put in for some time off during Christmas break. I did manage to pass all my classes that semester, just wasn't pretty. I let go of my job the beginning of this semester, and I only go to school part time. I also take some l-theanine for my anxiety, I can really tell the difference when I'm taking my exams. But the light is at the end of the tunnel, next semester should be my last before graduating.

Currently I'm once again tempted to click the buy button on Alan Wake on steam. It's a Remedy game... I love those. It's hard to resist, but I have tried it once on Xbox. It started great but then stuff started chasing me in the woods and I ended up getting stuck in some bushes and getting killed. A lot. I figured stuff chasing me in the woods would get less scary after a while. It did not. But maybe this time I can kill something and not just run into trees!

Yes your post needed to be approved, we were under a massive bot attack at one point so they had to up the security a bit. The approve post was an unintended side effect from that. ^I got Quantum break which, as I'm sure you know, is also a Remedy game. Been meaning to buy it for a while so since it was on the steam sale I got it. Had my eye on a few indie games as well but I decided to wait. I've got enough games for now. Did you get anything?
