Livestation

Anyone tried this? I downloaded it a couple of hours ago and it's pretty cool, it's a bit fickle but essentially it lets you stream TV from all over the world.

I'm currently surfing some Japanese TV, it's pretty weird.

Nah but I used to use Joost,Joost is maybe the best app for world TV.

But once the Novelty wears off you never really watch those foreign channels again.
Hulu is all I need for TV.

It's owned as a joint venture between NBC and Fox with licenced programming from other networks. As far as how they make money, there's some ad support. I don't really know if that's enough for it to be profitable for them. But perhaps they look at it as marketing and testing the waters for audience interest and future digital content distribution. I'm just speculating.

Yeah, depending on the number of hits the website receives on a regular basis would help determine how much companies would have to spend to advertise on their site. Makes sense I guess.
