How was your week?

Post by darkly »

I feel like there are a lot of topics about what's happening right now but what about what happened last Monday? How was your week? I want to know so here is a topic were we can talk about stuff that happened lately.

My week was alright. Summer is ending and as a true Swede I must fill my tank with sunlight to make it through the winter so I'm out as much as I can, trying to get as much sunlight as possible. Eating blueberries so that I can go into hibernation. Photographing everything. It was a nice week.

Work's busy, but I just got my hair done today with various shades of magenta, blue and purple. So I'm feeling fab and tomorrow's friday. So not bad at all.

Sounds wild! Sounds like your week was pretty good.

My week was pretty good, was out a lot, photographing things and really enjoying every second of summer that is left. Which, coincidentally, was the same things I did last week haha. But I feel autumn breathing down my neck so I can't get enough of the outside. Plus, summer has been really pleasant this year. No mosquitoes right now which is simply wonderful!

^That sounds lovely. The weather has been cooling down this last week and I've been here for it. Excited for autumn to hit.

It's been a busy week. Our game launched today! :eatpopcorn:
Enjoying the launch high, while fixing bugs. Expecting more bugs to be pouring in. But it's not been bad so far.

Pretty boring week, winter hibernation period has started so now I watch a lot of TV. My current goal is to watch all the shows. All. Of. Them.
That way I don't have to go outside and die because I slipped on some ice. Also, sometimes it's really wet which I also don't like.

^I live in Portugal and I haven't suffered as much with cold as I have this year. Yesterday I had 7 layers of clothing on, at home, and was still freezing.. thankfully it seems it'll warm up a bit later in the week.

^I know that feeling. We can get anywhere between +5 or more to -20 and while -20 is cold, somehow I freeze more when it's around zero. That's usually because when it's around zero it's usually also really high humidity and that high humidity cold is just the worst!

Christmas week has been pretty busy but nice. Got to spend some time with my mom and dad who is 85 years old.

Might be!.. But in general I think our houses are generally built to be cool in hot weather but then during the winter they're just too cold. The idea being that with cold you can just put one more sweater on...
Oh .. better make the most of your time with them. My father would be 76 this January. He's been gone for over 10 years and I still regularly think of so much stuff I wanted to talk about with him..

Ahh.. talk of cold weather but I imagine it must have been warm there for Christmas, no?

This week is pretty weird. I think it was the first time ever that I was working between Christmas and New Year's day, as I usually took the week off. It was extremely dull at work yet because almost everyone's off the workload is still high. It's just a weird atmosphere like a different dimension for a week.

So sorry for your loss. I'm so lucky to still have dad around. We all hope he'll be around for a few more years, he does have an older brother who is 90 and so far dad is doing pretty well for his age as well, you could easily mistake him for a 70 something.

Your weird dimension will be over before you know it and I hope you had a great new years!

My week has been going surprisingly well, new years eve was very quiet which I'm very happy about since my dog is scared of fireworks. But everything went well, didn't really party but that's ok. The dog is pretty old so it's nice to just take it easy on new years in stead.

The people in my neighborhood, and the surrounding areas, went on a firework rampage despite the wind warning. Luckily, work was slow the next day.
