Share your favourite music from games in this thread! There is so much good music in games these days and so many good composers who make music for games. Music from games are played everywhere these days, from the small , local orchestra to the big ones. Share away and don't be shy, I will listen to all of them. It doesn't have to be the original version, It can be someone elses version of a song too. Sharing more than one in one post is ok too, you don't need to wait for someone else to post in between. I'll start. Three very different songs from three very different games. But they all capture the mood of the games that they are from.
I think most of you may find this one familiar. It's an orchestrated mix, so a little different than the original but not too different. It's from Mass Effect 2. Mass Effect's (all the games) soundtrack is really epic, like the games. The second one starts kind of slow so you'll have to be patient. It's from Death Stranding. Death Stranding is a strange game, kind off sad and a little lonely, but also really epic and amazing. This song comes on when you are out in the world, wandering. It just really emphasizes the feeling of beeing our there in that world. Just imagine yourself beeing out there, a big open world, all alone. It's sounds sad and depressing, I know. The third one is by far the most different one. But oh how beautifully it captures the mood of this particular game and enhances it. The music in this game, however special it is, carries the game like no other soundtrack. It makes the world come to life (like a any good soundtrack would I guess) but perhaps even more so than in most games. The entire soundtrack for this game is very emotional and beautiful, even more so if you have played the game because it gives you that emotional connection right from the start. Jessica Curry is the composer of this soundtrack and most other games by the Chinese Room. She is special, I love her music. Her music can carry games. Like with all music from games, they capture and enhances the mood of a particular moment in the game. Which is why they'll stay with us much faster and longer than other music. But if you have not played the game, the song won't give you that emotional connection just as fast as when you encounter it in the game. Still, music from games is special and should be celebrated more.
