He didn't leave SEGA he is just retired as creative officer but still remains in charge of AM plus at SEGA.
Edge got their info wrong so may want to edit the title as it is very misleading.
Kiyuu at SD says this won't affect much other than his Title.

Doesn't matter. Sega gave up on creativity years ago so there really is no longer a place for a guy like him at Sega.
