Gah I'm sorry, I really should visit more often. I wonder if they've just discovered more holes in phpbb. One thing is for sure, our installation is way out of date. I'll take a look around and see what I can do.

Edit: I updated PHPBB. We'll see if that helps.

The phpbb update didn't help but I changed the registration questions a few hours ago to be tougher and there hasn't been a spam bot registration since. Here's hoping that was it.

^And they were all in their 30s.. So the typical spambot is aged 33-36 and a huge fan of weight loss amongst other things.
Looks like it is working though. No new spambots recently. We've been saved!!

Hmm, very interesting. I would have thought they would have been interested in Cyalis and other penis enhancing drugs.

I'm just glad it's all over. :D

Anyways, I'm just playing with my Nexus 7. My experience with Android Kit Kat has me wanting a new phone.

^ Yes sir it is. :D It makes me want to get a Nexus 5. But due to budget constraints , I'm gonna get an LG g2 from AT&T. With my 2-year contact expiring this month, the timing works out perfectly. Especially since I have to be in a 2-year contract to get my 20% AutoZone employee discount. I already ordered my screen protector and case for it.

I bought a Samsung Galaxy Tab with my Christmas money. This probably sounds backwards, especially from an IT guy, but one of my main motivations in doing so is to get rid of my smartphone eventually. I think it is so cumbersome to use as a phone. It gets bad reception, is a pain if you ever have to enter numbers, say on a prompt when you have to enter a password or something, etc.

I don't think a phone and an all-encompassing internet machine with tons of tools should have ever been combined. I'm planning to get a regular phone after my contract is up, and then just use my tablet for all of my internet-ing needs. However my tablet only has wi-fi, so we'll have to see how it all works out.

Reminiscing while listening to http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=PZfaSNoZ6L0
I think this song is very suitable for this purpose. I'm old enough to do this kind of thing :P

The lack of winter going on outside is making me very tired and lazy so I'm just sitting around watching stuff. Mostly on tv or youtube, but I did watch the wall for a brief moment until I had finished my coffee this morning. I don't usually watch the wall unless I'm trying to study but I was pretty tired today.

Still sitting here when I should be cleaning the apartment. Or at least go outside and smell the autumn, maybe admire the colors and throw some leaves around.
