Reminds me of the time I was driving on a freeway at nighttime to drop off a friend at her dorm when only two lanes were open due to construction. The lane I was on was so slow and the other looked empty so I switched lanes. Apparently everyone felt like they wanted to sit in stop-and-go traffic for several miles when there was a perfectly clear lane right next to them :no:

After I dropped off my friend and drove back in the opposite direction half an hour later, people were still needlessly sitting in that same damn lane. :argh:
