What games are you playing right now?

The wonderful world of video games awaits you. Console or PC. Old school or new school. Sony, Microsoft, or Nintendo. It doesn't matter. We don't discriminate.

Bayonetta 2.

Holy fuck is this game better than the first. No doubt THE best action game EVER made. Yet funny enough Strider 2014 still my fave game this year on PS3.

Recently, (by that I mean in the past few months), I've mostly just played Hyrule Warriors, Donkey Kong Tropical Freeze, and Mario Kart 8. I haven't had much game time.

I've been playing the Professor Layton series. I've finished the first trilogy, and quite enjoyed it, though I will go against what seems to be the general opinion, and say that I liked Pandora's Box more than Lost Future.

I'm playing Layton Brothers Mystery Room now - a IOS/Android game where you play as a new policewoman, Lucy, who has just been partnered with Inspector Alfendi Layton, the son of Hershel Layton. It plays more like a simplified Ace Attorney game; a murder is committed - Alfendi and Lucy investigate with the help of Alfendi's crime reconstruction before finally facing off with the murderer. The game is very forgiving, you can pick incorrect answers to questions, point out incorrect evidence, and aside from a brief chiding from Alfendi, there are no penalties. There are a total of nine cases, but I've just started on case five, and have less than five hours on my file. That said, the cases are getting more difficult, and the main story arc is just starting.

On the main arc:
Spoiler: (Highlight to read)
I'm not quite buying into Alfendi's dark side. It was quite effective, when it first happened in case two, but it's been mentioned a couple of times now that "dark" Alfendi may be dangerous but the fact "normal" Alfendi is obviously aware of his actions when he is in "dark" mode make me think doubt that "dark" Alfendi is actually a threat; I think that Alfendi wouldn't allow Lucy to work with him if he thought she was in any danger.

I hope there's an eventual explanation as to why "dark" Alfendi seems to be so much better at deducing the events at a crime scene, and the motivations of the culprits than "normal" Alfendi, but I have a feeling that if if it does come up, the explanation will simply be "Dark Alfendi is able to understand the mind of a criminal much more than normal Alfendi".

I'm guessing that girl in case four is going to make another appearance at some point later in the game. Not sure why she wanted the idol yet.

Once I've finished Layton Brothers, I will start with the prequel Layton trilogy.

Grand Theft Auto 5. Just got it last week, if I knew it was this good I would have probably got it on the release day. :rock:

Making my way through the Professor Layton prequel trilogy now; I'm about half way through Miracle Mask.

I'm not going through as quickly these games as I did the first trilogy, the story's okay, but I'm finding myself souring more and more on Professor Layton as a character, and I think I outright dislike Emmy. Luke's the only character out the main three that I have any noticeable liking for at this point. I do like Grosky though.

After I finally finish the prequel trilogy, I'll move on to Phoenix Wright vs Professor Layton.

Been very slowly making my way through Phoenix Wright Dual Destinies and The Legend of Zelda Majora's Mask 3DS. On the back burner I've also played some Donkey Kong Tropical Freeze, Banjo Kazooie, and Hyrule Warriors. (There are others but if I continued listing all the games I've started and not finished I'd be here all day.)

Just finished Professor Layton and the Miracle Mask.

Please don't read if you haven't finished the game.
Spoiler: (Highlight to read)
While I'm normally quite happy with a heartwarming ending, seriously, Randall just tried to kill everyone in the city. Those stunts of his could easily have caused injury in the panic - and then he gets off completely free? And it looks like Randall is the only one whom hasn't completely forgiven him for everything he's done? No. :x

Also, I don't want to be forced into working with Descole in the final game. Even more so if they pull the same thing with Descole as they did with Randall, and everyone just decides to forgive and forget the things that Descole has done.
On to Azran Legacy.

Now playing Azran Legacy, just started chapter 3. I like the darker music themes, it reminds me of Pandora's Box, my favourite game in the series so far.

Speculations:
Spoiler: (Highlight to read)
Sycamore is Descole. Their voices sound similar, both have an interest in Azran, and Layton notes that Sycamore has something against Targent. Their assistants look the same as well. Also, whether Sycamore is Descole or not, maybe it's just me, or a coincidence, but to it looks like Sycamore has some physical similarities to both Hershel and Alfendi Layton? We were never told in Miracle Mask why those men wanted to see 17 year Layton, and he wasn't investigating the Azran at that time.

Aurora is definitely a machine or something, with that comment that she didn't have a pulse.

I am currently playing Fahrenheit (Indigo Prophecy) remastered. So far:
* I've peed 3 times
* taken 2 showers
* gotten 3 game overs due to peeing when trying to hide evidence
* had 1 accidental death (drank alcohol when I shouldn't)
* mastered a quick time event!
* talked and explored

I love this game.

Anno 1701. I like the Anno games, but I feel that they always go a little downhill towards the end when you're inevitably forced to fight the villain of the story. Why do I have to go to war with them? Why can't I shame them away by building a more successful settlement? :cry:

The Solus Project. When I was out looking at stuff a weather anomaly suddenly appeared. I freaked out, ran around in a circle and then died. You'd think that after all this time playing games I would respond more skillfully when stuff happens suddenly....
Fun game though.

I'm about to play XCOM 2: War of the Chosen. Tonight I'm going to attack the first chosen base. Should be fun, I've planned it carefully (which usually results in complete chaos). My soldiers are well prepared. The only problem right now is to figure out how to make those 6 or so soldiers who all just want to bond with Topse Cret, bond with each other instead. You can only bond two soldiers with each other but apparently Topse Cret is an incredibly charming and funny guy.
