Japan is Going to Get Scary

Post by Jeff »

http://finance.yahoo.com/tech-ticker/ar ... ickers=ewj,

After two decades of economic doldrums the Japanese economy is ready to hit the wall. And, the impact will likely be felt around the world. John Maudlin, president of Millennium Wave Investments, and George Friedman, CEO of STRATFOR of global-intelligence firm Stratfor, tell Tech Ticker, "be afraid, be very afraid."

The two, however, disagree on what will spark the crisis. Mauldin believes the economy will collapse under the weight of debt. Friedman says rising unemployment will fan the flames.

Why should we care?

Either scenario has the potential to unleash a crisis we can't imagine.

Friedman asserts: "The Japan we know now and how it behaves in the world is not going to be the Japan we know in 10 years… and it’s going to be scary."

Good! Capitalists deserve to suffer the consequences of their greed and lack of foresight. No doubt, the socialists will seize this opportunity to triumph in Japan as they have in Europe, Asia, and South America; and the only real loser in all of this will be the ordinary people caught between two wolves: the corrupt wealthy owners and the insane utopians. I will go one step further, however, in predicting that the United States will fall into anarchy and civil war before the end of this century. It is no longer merely a possibility, but an inevitability. Behold the result of a century of Marxists and Darwinists running all the schools in the world, the fallout of the self-destruction of Christendom, the death of the West, the spread of the disease known as modernity, the end of human civilization on Earth. Everything has been dirtied and corrupted beyond repair. Society crumbles. Indeed, the fool thinks poverty has caused this darkness, but the exact opposite is the truth: this chaos, this end, was caused by the very darkness that will swallow this world and hold the key between its teeth for a thousand years. The next dark age is howling at the door, and we have built our house of straw! OF STRAW!

Not even politicians understand it.
Why we get loads of lies and bullshit.
The only people who truly get politics are people like John Stewart, our generations Walter Cronkite.

And that's the way is is.

WTF Jon Stewart is nothing like Walter Cronkite have you been smoking meth?? Walter Cronkite was a pure news and facts guy everything that comes out of Stewart's mouth is just some wisecrack that usually has a unhealthy dose of his slanted BS slathered all over it. He has his funny show or whatever but then he comes off it and just attacks and attacks and insults and attacks anyone he disagrees with even slightly. No class. Walter Cronkite is spinning in his grave if this guy is his successor. Jon Stewart is a tool.

Jonathan Stewart on the other hand is awesome. Yukio taught him everything he knows about being a running back, that's why he's so good.

Indeed, John Stewart is kind of a tool box who just spews his one-sided bullshit all the time. The sad thing is that so much of America just listens to crap like that, like it's the actual truth. There are even (college) radio stations around here who quote it like it's an actual source. :-?

Watching the Daily Show for me is like being tied up and gagged and having an ass clown spread BS without the ability to retort idiotic statements. I used to like that show until 2004 when he turned the show into his personal soap box. I want to tear that New Jersey shmuck a new asshole.

BTW I meant for this topic to be about Japan and from one economists belief that Japan's economy will crater beyond repair.

You have bigger problems at home rather than worrying about Japan. If Japan wants help they should get closer to China. I also long thought that Japan should kick out all the US troops on their soil as well. Maybe just keep one reduced base in Yokohama.

I was reading this about the state of the US
Saturday morning, I drove by the corner of Ballinger Way and Bothel Way. I saw the same two wonderful men who have been out there every Saturday morning for several years now. They hold up flags and signs that say "support the troops".

But I noticed those two guys were all alone on Saturday. Between 2003 and 2008, they had lots of company - because that intersection was the site of anti-war protests for about five years. Dozens of anti-war activists were there every Saturday morning when George Bush was president. I guess the war is fine with them now that Obama is president.

It's interesting - as the health care protests have erupted all across the country, the left alleges that those are "organized" protestors who don't really care about the issue - they just want to create chaos for President Obama.

The hypocrisy of that charge is stunning - considering that the left had no problem with those phony war protests that were organized by communist front groups like ANSWER.

The left says the health-care protestors just shout down those with whom they disagree. Of course, the left had no problem with the Code Pink organization that would use the exact same tactic at every opportunity.

The fact is, most of those "war protestors" weren't anti-war. They were anti-Bush. The health-care protestors are far more sincere in their beliefs than most war protestors.

And that's because fiscal conservatives don't ideologically flip-flop based on party lines. I hammered Bush and the Republican congress for their out-of-control government spending. I went hard after Dave Reichert for his fiscally irresponsible vote on the cap-and-trade bill.

And I believe the deficit being rung up by Obama is the greatest threat to our nation's future.

Certainly there are some sincere people who were against the war - and remain opposed. But as for the people who were routinely taking to the streets, most of them were either willing or ignorant dupes being used by groups that are now getting their wish - a Socialist America.

During the campaign, Barack Obama promised to bring the soldiers home. A goal we would all like to see eventually happen. But the realities of being president are far different than the sloganeering of the campaign trail. Sadly, the Obama administration not only has been unable to pull out, but it's not proving to be very capable of running the wars it inherited. Violence is on the upswing in Iraq. 15 U.S. soldiers have been killed in the last two weeks in Afghanistan and Iraq.

You would think the anti-war left would be outraged - maybe even taking to the streets. But that's not the case. Perhaps the war was never really that important to the anti-war crowd.

I guess Move On has moved on.
